Alford Rhythm and Steel Band

Charlotte and the members of the Alford Rhythm and Steel Band will be bringing a calypso theme to our August meeting; entertaining us with their music and, possibly allowing a lucky few to have a go.

People often comment that steel pans and Caribbean music in general sound like sunshine and exotic holidays.

The steel pan; quite possibly the only instrument to be made out of industrial waste, has become an icon of Trinidadian culture.
